The past week has been fast and so busy! We can't thank our first ever opening crew enough for making things happen! So many projects, so little time. We were able to complete several overdue projects while also getting things unboarded, cleaned, and repaired. New workflows are looking hopeful for the 2026 season!

Now onto riding horses, repairing fences, and clearing trails!

A simple reminder for anyone heading into the mountains:

Look up. Check your surroundings. Don’t linger under dead or leaning trees.

Standing dead timber, beetle‑kill, and root‑loosened trees can fall without warning — even on calm days.

Before you stop to rest, set up camp, tie stock, or take photos, take a few seconds to look up and around you.

We heard several trees crashing in the surrounding area of the lodge all day yesterday, more than usual, so be aware!
