As you may have heard, there are practice changes by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) going into effect on August 17, 2024.

There have been plenty of headlines in the media causing confusion. To clarify some of the misinformation about the settlement, we want to provide a few facts for our buyer clients:

Every buyer represented by a NAR-affiliated agent is now required to sign a Buyer Representation Agreement formalizing the relationship between the buyer and broker before touring properties, something that has been required in many states for over a decade. (Spoiler alert: this document is nothing new for our clients.)

Buyers deserve representation at every income level. Our experience has shown that transactions flow more smoothly when there is professional representation on each side, facilitating clear lines of communication, which benefits all parties involved.

We provide tremendous value to our clients. As a result, we will continue to encourage a transparent compensation conversation that reflects the time, effort, expertise, and support we invest in each transaction.

Compass sees these updates as being positive both for our clients and for the brokerage community, as they provide enhanced transparency and clarity. This will encourage the most professional agents to thrive.

Real Estate is a relationship-based business, and the trust we’ve earned with our clients is something we greatly value. Together, we will navigate any changes to rules and regulations in our industry while continuing to provide the same exceptional service we
always have.

If you have any questions (everyone does), please don’t hesitate to reach out. 08/22/2024

It's your moment....... Lafayette!🌲

Did you hear? Forbes just released this year's "Best Places to Live for Families". A great place to live is not one that solely supports a family in the present, but one that will serve them for the long term. With a growing portion of Americans caring for both children and aging parents, more people want to live in cities where multigenerational families can thrive. After analyzing over 2,000 cities across the country, our very own Lafayette claimed the number 7 spot.

Condé Nast Traveler may have deemed Lafayette one of the best small-town day trips from Denver, but it’s also worth a permanent move. It’s blossoming from its rural origins, with scenic views of the Rocky Mountains. Just 35 minutes north of Denver and 25 minutes west of Boulder, it also sits at a prime corner location between two of Colorado’s most popular cities.

The downtown area is colorful and quaint, featuring a number of coffee shops, boutiques, and small craft breweries. There’s also a strong arts community, with museums, alleyways of artwork, and art galleries in Old Town Lafayette.

In true Colorado fashion, Lafayette is also big on the outdoors. It has a number of greenbelts, bikeways, and parks worth exploring, as well as walking trails for wandering.

Want to know what it's like to live in Lafayette? No problem. Our team crushes the Lafayette real estate scene.
