We got a chance recently to catch up with our long time volunteer, Brad Reaves. Here's a bit of what he had to say about volunteering with BFR.

What motivates you to continue volunteering with us?

I enjoy the exercise and helping the community

What is one of your proudest moments as a volunteer?

In general, delivering as much food as possible on the bike.

Can you share a special memory you have while volunteering for BFR?

Pulling 300 lbs up the Fulsom hill

If you could let the Boulder people know one thing about food justice what would it be?

There is a lot of food that is wasted that is perfectly good. We should be less picky about eating things past their expiration date or that are not perfect.

Bopulder Food Rescue will be running our Backyard Garden Donation Program again this year. This program gives home gardeners the opportunity to contribute their home-grown produce to BFR's food security work.
