Blooming Edge
What if you forgive yourself?
Will you practice not taking life personally today?
Pleasure or joy?
Most of us learned to hide shame.
But we also learned to hide in it.
And I think that’s an important distinction.
Because shame doesn’t just convince us that something is wrong with us.
Sometimes it becomes the place we live.
The place we stop speaking.
The place we stop asking.
The place we stop becoming.
What if shame isn’t always a sign that something is wrong?
What if, sometimes, shame appears right at the threshold between survival and aliveness?
And if we stay with it…
gently…
compassionately…
we may discover that beneath the pain there is something unexpected waiting.
A sacred tremor.
A truth.
A forgotten jewel that never disappeared.
