A beautiful reminder…

I’ve always been super critical of how my hands looked since childhood. I’ve deemed them too big, too veiny, too wrinkly, blah blah blah, and have often wished them to be daintier, silkier, softer. But I’ve also noticed I’m obsessed with other people’s hands. Every hand with character is so beautiful to me, and there’s nothing more hypnotic to watch than hands creating things. These days I’m much kinder to my favourite tools. I look at them and see my strong mother, I’m reminded of all that they create, and the little scars, winkles, and freckles feel like signs they’ve been put to good use.

Still soaking in the magic from our Boulder Spring Market last weekend!
