Hi Friends- it is almost my 36th birthday, and as I approach that date, I am about to encounter yet another significant life event. These past few years have brought some changes - I have moved states, changed careers, and began an adventure in academia. Now this: Very soon I will become the adoptive father of a very sweet blue heeler/poodle mix puppy! I found him through a rescue network some friends were fostering for, and it was love at first sight. I will pick him up in about a week!

This year, for my birthday, if you are so inclined, I am asking for cash to help get my new pup settled. After paying adoption fees and pet deposits, there are still expenses for his basics, vet visits, food, and training. My aspiration is to eventually train him as a therapy dog as I also pursue my training as a therapy human. With this in mind, any help in this direction would be appreciated by he and I!

This good boy does not yet have a name, but we will sort that out soon enough. If you'd like to contribute to his transition with items instead of cash, he is still in need of just about everything! Dog bed, bowls, toys, leashes, etc.
