Botkins Fire Department

The Botkins Fire Department was kept busy this past week with the tornado hitting the southern part of our fire district and the high wind storms. Our department responded to 20 calls for service during those two events. The calls consisted of trees and lines down, buildings collapses or destroyed and semi over turned.

All of the above incidents were handled with the assisted of our neighboring Fire Departments, EMA, Law Enforcement and Power Companies. I would like to thank the Shelby County Sheriff Dispatchers for a job well done. I know from working in dispatch that they had their hands full and then some.

But after everything was over, we all returned home safe but exhausted.
