Here at Bothell Pediatric and Hand Therapy, we use this visual schedule to help with task transitions during therapy. With this task schedule, we are asking the child to pick which tasks they would like to do, in the order they want. This helps with attention to tasks, building social skills (sharing choices with an adult), activity persistence, and executive functioning/planning and organization to follow a sequence of steps in a given amount time.

Copying patterns with lego blocks help children develop the necessary visual motor skills needed for daily tasks including dressing, reading, and writing. It also addresses visual perceptual skills and fine motor coordination. The ultimate occupational therapy activity!
