Released digitally in February of this year, “Codex of Sand” is a split release from fantasy synth artists LANDSRAAD (UK) and Psychic Hood. “Codex of Sand” merges together the worlds of Dune and Warhammer 40K, sonically imagining the common threads between Fremen and Tallarn history and mythology. While each artist works within their own universe, there is a cohesive vision over the eight tracks; a melding of starlit soundscapes, celestial ambient tones, and Kosmiche sensibilities.

As always, orders come with a homemade soy wax candle. The two featured scents this month are ginger-saffron-citronella and pear-thyme-citronella. These are safe for inside and outdoor use and work as a natural repellant for insects.

Those who know me, know I am not a spiritual person or a subscriber to new age ideologies. However, I still recommend the small ritual of lighting a candle and putting on a tape as a temporary escape from the constant barrage of AI slop and targeted ads present in the capitalist hellscape we live in. It's important to take time for yourself in order to keep fighting.
