Downtown Boston | Two Part-Time Positions Available
We are a warm, friendly, pluralistic, and inclusive community in the heart of downtown Boston β and we are hiring two part-time positions to help us grow, connect, and thrive.
POSITION 1
Communications, Content & Events Associate
Part-Time | 20 hours/week | Entry Level to Early Career
Put yourself at the intersection of Jewish community, live music, and cultural programming in downtown Boston. Create and manage social media content, design graphics in Canva, send email campaigns through Constant Contact, promote events on Eventbrite and WordPress, and provide hands-on support at live events β from setup to breakdown.
Ideal for: Entry-level professional, career changer, or student seeking hands-on experience in communications, content creation, events and nonprofit arts administration.
Skills: WordPress, Canva, Eventbrite, Constant Contact, social media, strong writing, warm engaging voice. Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
POSITION 2
Director of Community Engagement & Development
Part-Time (lead to full time) | 30 hours/week + | Senior Level | Career Pathway Role
Lead the growth of one of downtown Boston's most intimate and dynamic Jewish communities. Drive membership growth and donor engagement, develop and steward relationships with community partners, pursue grants and fundraising opportunities, and support BackRoom Boston as a premier Jewish cultural venue.
Ideal for: Career path progression with a track record in development, community relations, and strategic growth β and a genuine passion for Jewish communal life.
Skills: Fundraising, donor relations, grant writing, membership development, community outreach, Jewish communal experience a plus.
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience. Career pathway to expanded role.
