Break Up Tech Monopolies. Use this Form to Call Your United States Senator 06/07/2022

Do you hate Facebook, Amazon, Google? Monsanto, Etc?
Once you enter your phone number and contact information, the app will call you and connect you with the Senator’s office. When you are done, please leave a note in the description about how the conversation with the Senator’s office went.

Here’s all you need to say:

Senator, my name is ____, I’m a voter in (city, state). Please support the passage of The Open Apps Markets Act (S.2710) and the American Innovation and Choice Act (S.2992).

********************

Big Tech monopolies have too much power, which is a threat to our democracy
This legislation would enable fair competition on Big Tech platforms and app markets. These two bills will give small businesses a fair shot and empower citizens with more choices
These bills have bipartisan support and could even clear the 60 vote filibuster threshold. There is also a real fear that if action is not taken this summer, we might have to wait years for the next opportunity to regulate big tech monopolies.
Making phone calls to each senator's office is one of the most critical ways to advocate for legislative change.
Imagine the phone ringing all day in the office about breaking up tech monopolies!

We are going ahead with a 2018 Boston March Against Monsanto event on Saturday May 19. 😀😀

The Committee for Peace & Human Rights has arranged for us to be able to have a rally at Park Street at 1pm. They have a weekly anti-war vigil there Saturdays at 1pm that they devote to different topics and groups. Last year Boston March Against Monsanto marched from Copley to Park Street and had our end rally there. We might start at Park Street this year. We also already have a sponsorship/endorsement from the Greater Boston Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party (Green Party)

We are a bit behind on planning. Our first planning meeting was poorly attended. We are trying to schedule another meeting. Would people be able to meet this Sunday afternoon May 6 at 2 or 3pm in Boston (maybe at Encuentro 5)? We would also have a speaker phone and conference call service so people could call in to the meeting too.
