We are a successful boutique marketing communications firm with U.S. and international clients who operate in the marine, outdoor, powersports, automotive, consumer electronics and luxury markets. Our team combines a unique blend of corporate, agency, publishing and hands-on experience which gives us the practical knowledge and expertise needed to implement and execute our clients’ marketing programs effectively and efficiently.
We are looking for a hungry individual to help split the workload after acquiring several new accounts and seeking a professional who is capable of:
· Working in a high-paced, close work environment and learning our clients’ varied product lines
· Planning and executing multi-platform, on-brand creative for client social media
· Monitoring and analyzing results across several social channels
· Learning our proven method of drafting and editing press releases, articles and web copy quickly and efficiently
· Communicating comfortably via phone and email with clients and the press
· Traveling to industry events such as press conferences or boat shows for three to five days at a time. (These events typically occur four or five times a year.)
· Conducting detailed searches for client coverage in online industry news and magazines
· Helping us organize and maintain our contact database
Job description and details
· Position requires 1-3 years of writing experience and a willingness to learn
· Position requires 1-3 years of business-focused social media experience
Position can be based in our Portland, Maine office or Lee, New Hampshire based on proximity to your location
· Responsibilities include assistance with coverage clipping and reporting, managing, tracking and reporting workflow, and press event/tradeshow planning and attendance. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to draft press releases, advertorial and editorial articles, web copy and social media posts as your understanding of our clients and product lines develop.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
Familiarity with Mailchimp and misc. contact management systems
General familiarity Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, and WordPress
Stellar organizational skills
Gregarious personality
Professional demeanor when interacting with media and clients
Written communications skills
Ability to multitask
All employees are vaccinated. During travel, we all wear masks.
