Choro Louco was formed in Portland in 2013 by a group of accomplished musicians who have all established themselves as virtuosos in other genres - ranging from classical music and jazz, to Celtic, klezmer and Middle Eastern music. The band members are Carl Dimow (guitar, flute, bass flute), Nicole Rabata (flute), David Newsam (8-string guitar, mandolin) and Eric LaPerna (percussion). …………………………:.::::………………………………………….
The Steve Grover Memorial Project :
Steve Grover needs no introduction when it comes to Jazz in Maine because the two are almost synonymous. Steve’s contributions through his participation in the Maine Jazz Camp have impacted generations of young musicians and inspired them to go on to become successful creative individuals. Each member of the Steve Grover Memorial band has a deep connection to Steve and his music and we are humbled to be able to present this concert to audience members of all walks of life.
