Elevate Youth

As the school year comes to a close, we’ll be highlighting the schools we partnered with and the adventures we all went on this year!

🐯First up, the Kenny School! Because we had two Kenny cohorts this year, 5th Grade and 6th Grade, we got to visit the Kenny School each Wednesday and Thursday. Most of the 6th-graders had been part of Elevate last year and were back for round two! 🥾

Some highlights from Kenny this year:
🎣 On their fishing trip, the 6th graders were joined by a group of enthusiastic and supportive volunteers from Audax Private Equity. Each volunteer teamed up with a student, and a student and volunteer both caught their first fish together!
🚵 During their biking trip, the 5th graders got to talk to Jack Rice, who raised over $7,500 for Elevate Youth by biking across the country (which he documented at Jack Rice). They had lots of questions for him, including, “What kinds of animals did you see?” and, “Did your hair grow really long?”

After 5th and 6th grades, pre-teens continue to dive deeper with more challenging recreational activities - always by choice - and put environmental stewardship into action with our Youth Leaders program.

Thanks to Unity Farm Sanctuary for an incredibly informative trip to care for rescue animals, create sustainable farms and gardens, and to make small, everyday lifestyle changes for a better planet.

You can sign up for a tour, to volunteer or support from afar via their website, but it's a must that you meet Jennifer! She's the Educator Director and is a walking encyclopedia for all things veganism and Mother Nature! 👏🏽
