We’re excited to announce NBC10 Anchor and Reporter Glenn Jones as Emcee and Boston City Councilor Enrique J. Pepén as our featured guest speaker for the 2026 Minds Matter Boston Spring Soirée!

An Emmy Award-winning journalist and longtime news reporter, Glenn Jones brings both an incredible presence and a personal connection to our mission as a first-generation college graduate.

We’re also proud to welcome Enrique J. Pepén back to the Minds Matter Boston stage — this time as an alum, former mentor, and Boston City Councilor. Enrique graduated from Minds Matter Boston’s 2013 cohort and later returned to volunteer as a mentor alongside his wife, whom he first met through the program.

Together, Glenn and Enrique embody the power of mentorship, opportunity, and community — the heart of Minds Matter Boston.

Career exploration and exposure opportunities are core to the Minds Matter Boston experience, and with the help of our partners at NBCU Boston, they can also be some of the most fun.

Last month, 24 Minds Matter Boston students spent three days behind the scenes in the NBC10 Boston newsroom. From shadowing audio/visual professionals to planning their own broadcast projects, our students gained valuable lessons about teamwork and synchronicity, and had the chance to imagine futures for themselves in broadcasting.
