The Camden,NJ AJR show was special…not only was it a hometown show for me, but I was also able to give back to my community. Pre show I invited two students from Arnetta’s Band Camp for a special presentation. Little did they know, this presentation would be made from the one and only Mike Corrigan from B.A.C. Musical Instruments "Best American Craftsmen". We called them up them up to the front and both students received brand new instruments! Their smiles shined with excitement! 🎺 Along with Mike for the presentation we had Jamal Dickerson who has kept the music scene in Camden strong with the PACE program and is the music teacher of Camden Creative Arts, Mayor Vic Carstarphen who has supported ABC from day one, Vedra Chandler of studio55 who is ABC’s program director, and of course my Mom…who is the reason why any of this is a thing! She is a retired Camden City music teacher as well. 🎺 Giving back in this manner is humbling and what truly makes me happy is the immense support I receive from AJR and the AJR Tour camp. Everyone was there to embrace the heartfelt moment of watching two deserving kids get new instruments. Afterwards the ABC students were able to get words of encouragement from AJR and some pics.
