Happy Independence Day from all of us at FriendshipWorks! 🇺🇸 As communities gather to celebrate with parades, cookouts, and fireworks, we encourage everyone to take a moment to include older adults in the festivities. A phone call, an invitation to join a celebration, or a simple visit can make someone's holiday brighter. Wishing you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July. Today, FriendshipWorks joins the nation in celebrating Juneteenth — a day that marks the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans and a powerful reminder of the ongoing work toward freedom, equity, and justice for all. We remain committed to serving older adults of all backgrounds with dignity and care. Please note our office will be closed on June 19 for the holiday.
On June 9, nearly 200 members of FriendshipWorks' community of connection-makers gathered for this fundraising event, "A Cause for Connection: Changing the View on Aging, Together."
