New England-based nonprofit organizations can apply for up to $5,000 in support for artists. New England States Touring (NEST 1 & 2) is accepting applications through August 3.

On June 11, 2026, NEFA held a Public Art Impact Convening at the Zeiterion Theater in collaboration with Arts Equity Group. We gathered arts administrators, advocates, funders, and public art makers like Iva Brito. As a former Collective Imagination for Spatial Justice and Public Art Learning Fund grantee, Iva Brito penned her reflections throughout the day and generously offered to share them as part of our closing. What a wonderful Tuesday at the The Steel Yard in Providence! We were thrilled to honor Kathleen Pletcher, founder and executive artistic director at FirstWorks, and our amazing board chair Carrie Zaslow, executive director of the Providence Revolving Fund, during our community reception. The Leland Baker Trio filled the air with music, and the evening wrapped up with an energetic performance from Walking Together grant recipient The Rhode Island Kung Fu Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate.
