As part of a16z’s inaugural Boston Tech Week, Cityside Construction hosted an event at the DOCA showroom in Brookline, bringing together builders, agents, and developers for an honest conversation about AI in real estate and construction.

With leaders from MIT and BLDUP at the table, it kept coming back to one thing: the tools are real, but the results still come down to the people using them. From zoning and permitting to what it takes to get a project built, AI is starting to touch every part of the work. None of it is automatic.
