Realtors, donors, and partners came together for this year’s CHAF Kickoff. We packed welcome home kits, connected, and set the tone for this year’s Campaign.
CHAF (The Community Housing Assistance Fund) is a restricted emergency fund of HomeStart. Every dollar goes directly to move-in costs for families.
This community has raised 81% of our $100,000 goal.

This is what a Welcome Home Package looks like. 🏠💜
Also known as a Home Starter Kit usually given in a duffle bag but photographed in a container here filled with essentials like dish towels, kitchen utensils, soap, and cleaning supplies.
For clients transitioning out of homelessness, an empty apartment can feel overwhelming. These aren’t just household items. They’re necessities that often fall outside a tight budget.
With permission, we’re sharing a photo of one of our clients receiving their kit. We’re not sharing their name just the hope and dignity this moment represents.
