Announcing a SPECIAL GUEST giving critique/feedback at the end of day 2 of our upcoming Crafting Type (http://craftingtype.com/) workshop in Melbourne Mar 24–26: acclaimed type designer Paul D. Hunt from Adobe!

Paul has an MA in typeface design, started with P22 in ’04, and has been at Adobe since ’09. He’s the designer of Source Sans, Source Code, & Adobe Gurmukhi. Paul has designed fonts for Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Devanagari and Gurmukhi, and is also involved with emoji standards! (Source Sans is currently the 10th most popular of the 1493 families on Google Fonts.)

This three-day workshop is taught by Thomas Phinney (Adobe, FontLab, currently making fonts for Google) and Wayne Thompson (Australian Type Foundry), and hosted by/at the socially innovative design firm Portable.

No matter how little experience you may have with typography, we will put you on the path to mastery. The only requirement is a love of letters and a laptop!
