“Comparison is the thief of joy”

🛑Stop comparing yourself to others in the gym.
-
Everyone is at a different point in their fitness journey. Our bodies are all genetically different. Stop wasting time wishing you looked like a certain someone and focus all your energy and effort on yourself.

Do you workout on the weekend??
-
Maybe you workout M-F and take the weekends off. Most of us are working 8+ hours a day and are completely exhausted and stressed out. Stress leads to weight gain. Sometimes finding time to squeeze in workouts before or after work/school/ etc can cause even more stress. You might be better off scheduling your rest days on your busiest work days.
-
Side note, I know not everyone has weekends off and you can apply this thinking to fit your schedule and days off.

Motivation is just an emotion. It will come and go. It will only get you so far. Rely on things like discipline, habits, and consistency to get you through.

Muscles don’t need to be “shocked” or “confused” into growing.
-
They need to be provided with enough mechanical tension for them to grow.
-
Mechanical tension is created by using a heavy load and performing exercises through a full range of motion for a period of time. This is the main driver of muscle growth. Not shock or confusion.
