In cybersecurity, I learn about stuff you don't want to. Just trust me, you want to take it seriously enough to set up a good defense before you completely forget about the subject again. Before you do, read this poster and go buy a subscription to NordVPN and STOP using free VPNs. EVER. VPNs are expensive to run, why do you think they give it to you for free? They don't love you. 💔 I know, sorry. They do love you pumping everything you do online through their servers so they can sell your data and identity to anyone and then send a copy to the government if they ask. That's what happens on EVERY free VPN. I spent an embarrassing amount of time obsessing over finding one I trusted enough to use and Nord won. Ask and I'll give you the details people don't wanna hear on here and I'll explain how I came to this. Recently, I caught someone close to me using ExpressVPN and was heartbroken. Lucky for me the rope broke and before trying again I decided to look ExpressVPN up again and was impressed. I still felt betrayed, but she gained some respect. Nord is better, but it's close. ExpressVPN is not quite as safe and it costs more, and although it has more server locations, it has about 2/3 as many servers. So, get one of them, delete those free ones (if they let you, good luck with that), and read this poster before you forget this subject again.
