Congratulations to the parents in Horizons for Homeless Children’s Family Partnership Program who graduated from the EDEN Financial Literacy Program! 🎉👏

Over the course of the program, parents strengthened their financial knowledge, built confidence in their goals, and capped off the experience with an inspiring Shark Tank-style business pitch competition showcasing their entrepreneurial dreams and determination.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this such a meaningful event. We can’t wait to see what’s next for these families who are building a foundation for financial wellness and long-term success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Friday night for our annual Spring Gala! Because of the generosity of our community, we raised a record-breaking $1.4 million in support of children and families experiencing homelessness across Massachusetts.

We are grateful to our emcee, Oscar Margáin, and to Eva, our resilient and inspiring mom speaker, for sharing her story with us. Special thanks to our Spring Gala Committee for making the evening such an outstanding success, and to our lead corporate sponsors, Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation and MFS Investment Management , for their generous support.

We were also honored to recognize four longtime Horizons volunteers for their combined 70 years of service to Horizons and our children.

Thank you for spending the evening with us and helping us create brighter futures for our children and families. If you attended, check your email for a link to view even more photos from the evening!

We are so proud of Team Horizons for raising over $154,700 this marathon season! Together, they achieved remarkable milestones and made a meaningful impact. We’re grateful for their dedication and for surpassing their fundraising goals in support of Horizons’ mission to serve children and families experiencing homelessness in our community.

Thank you to the Boston Marathon and Boston Athletic Association for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.

Horizons celebrated Mother’s Day this week with an event organized by our Family Partnerships team to make moms feel special and appreciated. Moms spent time together, enjoyed a delicious brunch catered by Boston Food Plug, and received a heartfelt message from their kids. It also gave us a chance to recognize some of our parents who have met important goals this year and give each mom in attendance them their Mother’s Day gift – a thoughtful self-care package!

Parent council leader, Eva, made sure that the Family Partnerships team “got their flowers” as well. Sharing her and all the parents’ appreciation for everything the Coaches do by gifting each member of the team a flower pin.

Happy Mother’s Day and thanks to Corgan Inc. for putting together beautiful care packages for Horizons moms!

We were honored to welcome Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, along with Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭, to Horizons early education center for a powerful day of connection, conversation, and community.

From classroom story time to a meaningful roundtable with educators and families, the visit highlighted what we see every day: young children experiencing homelessness need stability, care, and access to high-quality early education to thrive.

As our CEO Kate Barrand shared: “Spending time in the classroom together is a powerful reminder of what’s at stake… Every day, we see how much that matters for families experiencing homelessness. We’re grateful to have leaders who understand how critical it is to invest in early education and advance policies like higher pay and stronger support for early educators.”

Thank you to our officials for showing up and standing with our children, families, and educators.
