I'm pleased to share that I, along with Steve Ultrino for State Representative, State Representative Paul Donato, and Senator Jason Lewis, secured the following earmarks in the FY27 budget for the City of Malden (Official):

>>150K to Portal to Hope for services and prevention education related to domestic violence and at-risk youth/school-based violence
>> $100K for the Malden River Works project
>> $100K for the Malden MSYEP
>> $100K to Housing Families Inc. for regional shared services
>>$100K to the Coalition for Anti-Racism and Equity and the Commonwealth Seminar
>> $100K for flood mitigation efforts
>> $75K to Action for Boston Community Development to support its mobile homeless outreach program
>> $60K for public park improvements
>>$50K for upgrades and improvements to the city's streetscape
>> $50K to Housing Families Inc. for its homeless children program

Additionally, Malden will receive $70,838,845 in Chapter 70 school funding and additional local aid at $16,033,345.

I'm pleased to share that I, along with Representative Donald H. Wong and Senator Jason Lewis, secured the following four earmarks in the FY27 Budget for the Town of Wakefield, MA - Government:

>> $100K for Veterans Field restroom reconstruction
>> $50K for the Wakefield MA Fire Department for an extractor washer and dryer
>> $50K for Boys & Girls Club of Metro North for purposes of establishing an innovation center and STEM lab
>> $24K for Wakefield Community Access TV for a new lighting grid

Additionally, Wakefield will receive $9,949,023 in Chapter 70 school funding and additional local aid at $4,355,758.

This earmark funding will enhance the facilities at Veterans Field, a central community space; provide innovative learning spaces at the Boys & Girls Club; support WCAT, a cherished community resource; and provide vital safety equipment for our firefighters.

ATTN : This week, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority - MBTA will begin preparation work at Wyoming Hill Station in City of Melrose - City Government to upgrade station infrastructure to improve accessibility and rider experience. This project will include the construction of two ADA-compliant mini-high platforms with a ramp structure, upgrades to the parking lot, and additional station improvements, such as enhanced signage and bike racks. During my tenure as a State Representative, I have pressed for accessibility improvements at commuter rail stations in the District, so I'm thrilled that this project is beginning.
