Financial literacy isn't just for the young. Many of us fail to take a hard look at our personal finances.
As 2025 is about to begin, try this simple exercise. First calculate your take home pay. Next list all your fixed costs (mortgage/rent, car payments, insurance,) estimated variable monthly costs (utilities, groceries.. etc.). What's left is your disposable income. From this is what you can save for retirement, unanticipated expenses, vacation and party fund.
How does this look? Do you have a plan?

BTW..don't just do this in your head. Write it out. Share it with your partner. And come back to it each quarter to evaluate where you are.
Good luck in 2025!

During Covid, keeping your team engaged can be challenging. Employers have noted Video conferencing fatigue. while other employees admit to multitasking and doing household chores while working. One suggestion to keep people present is to require their participation. If your video calls include a large group, think about having smaller groups "meet" before hand on a topic and have one person report back their results in that larger group meeting. People will want to be sure their group representative gets it right, and will jump in to add commentary. The key is how to keep your team engaged! -19
