Water Compass

In June, Water Compass launched a new solar-powered water system in the community of Mpumudde, Uganda. The system serves approximately 3,000 people via public taps stands, while also providing private connections to two primary schools. The project was co-funded with Sembabule District Local Government, yet another example of our public-private partnership approach towards building critical water infrastructure.

was honored to host our Uganda board members in the field this weekend and visit some of our solar-powered water systems. Having engaged board members is critical to any successful organization and we are so lucky to have such active board members.

In 2023, Water Compass provided over 10 million liters of clean water to rural communities in Uganda via our solar-powered piped water systems. We look forward to building more water systems and supplying thousands more people with accessible and affordable clean water in 2024.

Exciting news! Water Compass has launched a new solar-powered water supply system in the community of Seeta Mugogo in Uganda. The system serves 1,200 people and provides a dedicated connection to the local primary school. We’re thrilled to have the new system up and running and to end 2023 on a positive note!
