Mrs. Hanni Myers, a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor, visited Mr. Edwards' and Mr. Kirby's AP World History classes to share her story with our students. One student reflected: "I am grateful for Mrs. Myers's story. It was really powerful standing in the same room as someone who lived through that period. We will not see that many firsthand accounts like this in the coming years, so having her here was really special."
In Mrs. Myers's own words: "My desire now is to share my first-hand experience with as many young people as possible — to convey the fundamental importance of this powerful history."
We are grateful for Mrs. Myers coming to our classrooms to tell us her story, and for the impact her visit had on our students.
