For Waldhaus, our current project in Metrowest Boston, MA, we worked with clients looking to preserve the character of the forested setting with a low impact, harmonious addition to the neighborhood. This “garden in the woods” is carefully nestled into the existing topography and features two private wings linked by a central public volume.

At our West Gloucester House, the home’s linear layout is oriented parallel to the contours of the hillside, minimizing site disturbance. The stacked massing and galvanized steel detailing of the home recall the industrial vernacular of the Gloucester waterfront, and the dark color helps the house settle into its wooded site.

At the Steinert House, we looked at many iterations of rethinking the sunroom. Our work clarified the flow between spaces, addressed older renovations that obscured Bruck’s design intent, and restored key details.
