Kernel the Great Dane

🔊It’s been single file life the last few weeks (reminds me of walking to the cafeteria as a class in 1st grade 😂) and the dogs know if they veer away, they’ll sink lol! 💕 IOU a better update on Winter Storm Kernel with so many cuter visuals than the following asap. He’s hitting some big milestones in the last few days after his ankle injury, which is still a clunker, and literally seems to have broken his tail after falling again on the sidewalk once more last week. Obviously upsetting, but he hasn’t seemed bothered in the way I’d expect and it looks like something that will remain kinked forever, so I’m letting it be until his holistic vet comes for treatment next week. His new and improved paw brace arrives this week and after not being able to get a single street walk in without falling in the last month (if it wasn’t the ice, it was the uneven snow, the winter booties, etc.), he successfully took a 2.5mi walk on Sunday AND had his first full day back to school yesterday!😌 It was randomly 70 degrees and the first time the dogs have felt grass and water on their paws in months! They got to play in the creek all day - pretty magical after a treacherous month, especially for a big boy coming off bedrest ! Love, Alyssa 💕
