Heading to the movies to see The Odyssey this weekend?🎥

Here's a fun fact for you💡
Painter Pierre Puvis de Chavannes included a reference to the Odyssey in the mural paintings in the McKim building staircase.

The panel at the top of the stairs is called "Epic Poetry" and shows Homer, the ancient poet, next to figures that represent his famous works, the Iliad and the Odyssey.

Visit the Central Library to view the mural in person or learn more through our digital guide: https://guides.bloombergconnects.org/en-US/guide/bostonPublicLibrary
