The church is a of Armenian , with a tetraconch plan, a central dome and niches on the exterior walls of the church characteristic of Armenian architecture. This was the inspiration for the architects of the Saint Sarkis church in Carrollton, Texas which won the 2022 “US Building of the Year” award.
