Breguet might be the most underrated brand in watchmaking. Which makes Taylor’s pick for the most underrated watch...even more underrated.

When Christopher asked her for her favorite sleeper watch, she was ready to go: the Breguet Heures Sautantes.

And we have to say, it’s hard to argue with her!

Released in the 1990s, the ref. 3620 combines everything collectors love about classic Breguet - guilloché dial, coin-edged case, blued hand, and a jump hour display that feels surprisingly modern even today.

No hour hand. Just a crisp digital-style aperture that instantly jumps at the top of every hour.

The coolest part? Breguet was experimenting with jump hours decades before they became trendy again, proving once more that Abraham-Louis Breguet was usually a few centuries ahead of everyone else.

In a hobby obsessed with hype, watches like this tend to fly under the radar. Which is exactly why we love them.

What do you think though? Is Taylor right, or is there an even more underrated watch out there? Let us know in the comments.

How do you improve an icon like the Datograph?

The A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Up/Down Lumen ref. 405.034 takes what many collectors consider one of the greatest chronographs ever made and gives it a thoroughly modern twist.

Limited to just 200 pieces, the Lumen features a partially transparent smoked sapphire dial that allows light to charge the luminous date discs beneath. The result? The oversized date glows alongside the hands, subdials, and chronograph display - making for an experience unlike almost anything else.

Flip it over and you're reminded why the Datograph changed watchmaking forever. Introduced in 1999, its movement forced the Swiss establishment to rethink what a high-end chronograph could be, with a level of architecture and finishing that still leaves collectors speechless today.

Is this Lumen the ultimate Dato? Let us know in the comments!

Christopher thought this would be easy. Then Taylor showed him a Royal Oak that barely looks like a Royal Oak.

The Audemars Piguet ref. 6005BA is one of the strangest - and rarest - members of the Royal Oak family. Produced during the quartz era, it took Gérald Genta’s iconic design language and morphed it into a sleek rectangular case that feels more cocktail party than sports watch.

18K yellow gold. Gray tapisserie dial. Integrated bracelet. Pure 1980s energy.

Most people don’t even know rectangular Royal Oaks exist, let alone that AP made them in solid gold.

So when Christopher tries to guess the price...let’s just say the market for obscure vintage AP is a lot stronger than he expected.

Would you rather have a standard Royal Oak...or the one that nobody else at the watch meetup has ever seen?
