Translational Research Program
11/28/2023
It's GIVING TUESDAY! And we are almost at our goal!
Did you know cigarette smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the US? Smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths in the US each year.
The Translational Research Program is using BU’s crowdfunding platform to support our Virtual Reality Smoking Study. This research project is particularly exciting because we are harnessing virtual reality to imitate environmental triggers for ni****ne cravings from day-to-day life. We hope this will help us better understand how smokers and va**rs experience ni****ne cravings.
While the majority of US smokers want to quit, only 1 in 10 succeed. If you or a loved one have made a quit attempt, you know just how difficult it is. The findings from our study have the potential to inform groundbreaking interventions to help smokers and va**rs quit using ni****ne.
If our crowdfunding initiative resonates with you, please consider donating and spreading the word. Any support is appreciated!
