Children's Vision Lab at NECO

This Thursday Dr. Vera-Diaz will be speaking at the emerging eye health issues in young children webinar presented by the National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health - to join us, register via the link in our bio!

This past weekend Dr. Vera-Diaz had the pleasure of joining NAEVR and ARVO advocacy day on Friday. She met with the offices of Senator Markey, , and to discuss the importance of continuing to provide inflation plus growth levels of funding for NIH and NEI to ensure NEI remains the world leader in sight-saving and vision-restoring research and support vision research in the area of myopia.

This summer, Dr. Vera-Diaz spoke on behalf of the AAO at the first meeting of the Committee on Focus on Myopia in Washington DC. Our team at the NECO Children’s Vision Lab and Myopia Control Clinic are very excited about the work being done by the committee, and are proud to support this endeavor!
