Our literacy coaches at Young Achievers School poured their time, energy, and heart into students and the community all school year long, and it was finally time for a proper celebration.

The team gathered at a fellow coach's home to look back on everything they accomplished together: the reading milestones, the relationships built, and the impact they made in classrooms and beyond.

To every coach who showed up for Mattapan's students this year: thank you. Your dedication is the reason kids fall in love with reading, one page at a time.

🎉 BIG NEWS for early literacy in Massachusetts! Governor Healey signed the Right to Read Act into law, requiring school districts to use evidence-based reading curriculum, expanding dyslexia and literacy screenings, and investing in teacher training.

Right now, fewer than half of Massachusetts third graders are reading proficiently. This law is a major step toward changing that, and it aligns directly with the work our coaches do every day in Boston, Chelsea, and Framingham. 📚
