Today marks 10 years since Mike lost his battle with FTD. He was 33 years old and we were months away from celebrating a decade of marriage. Noah had just turned 4. Since that spring day in 2012, Mike's love has continued to stretch and grow. It grows in Noah and it forces me to stretch! Life didn't turn out the way I expected, but I know Mike would be proud of the life I have built for Noah and for myself. Our story has helped me connect with other families, advocate for better policies for those living with dementia and raise funds so that the cure of tomorrow won't be so far from the care of today. Noah and I were so lucky to experience the big, happy, boundless love that Mike gave so easily. And I know we weren't the only ones.
