I have watched the videos by Izzy Ogbeide where she tries to portray Edo people as irresponsible parents who send their underage daughters abroad for prost!tution.

I can understand that you went through a painful and difficult experience as a child who involved in pros!itution. No one will deny that such a life must have been extremely hard. However, using your personal experience to generalize and paint the entire Edo people as if that is what defines us is completely unacceptable.

That narrative is simply not true.

I am an Edo woman. Though I was born in Lagos, we returned to Benin in 1979 after my parents separated. From that time, my mother raised me and my three sisters alone as a single parent. She trained four daughters single-handedly and provided everything we needed food, clothing, and education.

At no point did we have to travel abroad for prostitution because our mother worked hard and took care of her responsibilities. She valued our dignity and our future.

Izzy Ogbeide, if your parents failed in their responsibilities, you have every right to hold them accountable. But it is wrong to drag the entire Edo people into your personal story and portray them as parents who deliberately send their daughters abroad for prost!tution.

Edo women are strong, hardworking, and dignified. We will not allow anyone to drag our people through the mud because of the failure of your parents.

My mother, as a single parent, sent all four of her daughters to school. Not for one day did she ever contemplate sending any of us abroad to prost!tute so that we could build a house for her.
In fact, while we were still in school, she already had her own house and her own car through hard work.

There are countless families like ours across Benin Kingdom, families who worked honestly, raised their children with dignity, and never dreamed of exploiting their children for wealth.

If your father sent you abroad at a young age, the same father lives in your house today, you shouldn't have allowed him into your home if the pain you express is truly as deep as you claim. You should primarily hold him accountable and not the entire Edo people.

So Izzy Ogbeide, next time direct your anger and frustration to those who failed you, your parents, and stop attempting to tarnish the image of an entire people because of your personal experience.

Edo people are not defined by your story!!!

You people can now see how merciful God is. See how Harrison is being dragged by many, but we do a lot daily, some dragging him now, like one Mr. Ben has done worst, ge was involved in missing girls case, Celine and Afiba, who are still missing till today, he was a close friend to Mr Andrew that got the girls missing. Mr Andrew also kpaid people and Mr Ben was his partner in crime. But now, Mr Ben's mouth is very sharp in Harrison's case.

If God should judge you reading this comment, will you stand?
