Another song about growth and resilience. Stepping out of your comfort zone. While obviously "uncomfortable," this is where the magic happens. When you are trying to make changes in life and feel at an end, completely overwhelmed, ask for help. Pray to God, the Universe, your higher self, whatever you believe brought you here. Ask and you shall receive. Sometimes it is just enough and sometimes that’s all we need.

I've Got You
This is a song I wrote about a new partner not long after finishing the song below (the song below, “Runnin’ on Love,” was inspired by reflecting on times shared with a previous partner) . Perhaps I had wrapped up those memories, giving me the freedom to move on to the new partner who inspired this upbeat melody.

I Like Bein' Me
This is a song I wrote after moving home from Colorado. I grew up in Reading, MA going to high school, then college, then working in a cubicle. By the time I was 27 I was fed up with the way things were going, enough so to leave it all behind. I did the sensible thing. I quit my job, filed for unemployment and moved to Vail, Colorado to become a "ski bum." Having never lived outside Massachusetts, I now felt free as a bird. I packed my life into my Rav4 and hit the road. Man was I free. The feeling that describes my life for the next 3-4 years is one of near bliss. I lived out of my car most summers and took extended road trips to California and Mexico during the winters. Driving around the country multiple times and up to Alaska. National parks and backpacking trips across Europe and Southeast Asia. Creating shared experiences with incredible people I'd meet along the way. It was beautiful. However, as you may or may not have guessed, I was running from something. I didn't fully realize it at the time, but I had a hunch. Maintaining multiple coping mechanisms I’d developed throughout the course of my life kept me numb to the voice telling me that the utopia I was seeking was not outside but inside. A number of factors influenced my decision to move home 4 years later. Mainly I knew it was time. It was time for me to begin my journey within.
