Joey Scimone

Hey so I just got to do something that I am so unbelievably grateful for. I attended a seminar with Steve Bailey and Les Claypool at Berklee College today with a Q&A at the end. My question was “Where can I get one your pachyderm basses as a signature model?” And he got up and grabbed his bass and said “right here” he handed it to me and holy hell what a slick instrument. Later on he asked who could play Tommy The Cat and I was lucky enough to go first. Lo and behold I’m playing the song I practice every single day in front of the guy who wrote it and he calls me a show off 😂 I couldn’t be a happier camper right now.

2025 was pretty cool, met some more great friends, having a lot of fun playing music, and I’m excited to see what next year brings :)
