After filling up in record time, we are pleased to share the company of Play-in-a-Day 2026!!! 30 artists from 25 different towns throughout Massachusetts (and Rhode Island!) will come together to create 6 world premiere plays in only 24 hours!

All tickets are pay-what-you-want, and while we do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to join in the celebration, this is also our annual fundraiser - so do with that info what you will ;)

Please note that while our roster is currently full, we will keep a waitlist open up to the day of the festival and, historically, have been able to accommodate most of the waitlist as schedules shift. Yorick Ensemble’s 11th production will be the regional premiere of Samantha Hurley’s dark comedy play, I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire

“It’s 2004, and 14-year-old Shelby Hinkley has kidnapped Tobey Maguire, at the height of his career, to force him into marrying her. Samantha Hurley’s laugh-out-loud dark comedy, steeped in Y2K nostalgia, explodes our para-social relationships and the obsessions that detonate them.”

For this production we will return to Hovey Players’ Abbott Memorial Theater.
