Your child is learning to look at issues from various viewpoints and find multiple answers. You can help this development as a parent.
For instance, if a toy breaks, he could pretend to be a doctor and fix it or select another toy to play with. Observe what he decides and provide positive feedback.

Alex grew up in Massachusetts and earned degrees in education from Emerson College and Tufts University. In her varying roles in schools and nonprofits, she has taught and advised children, teens, and adult learners from all over the world.
