I recently read the rant Kobe Bryant posted after he tore his achilles tendon at 35. The spiral of emotions from how do I come back, what do I do, to buck the f**k up and make it happen.

This past April I started having crazy cramps in my right calf. Literally the second that healed in mid May my knee blew up like a balloon with no known injury. It was the end of the spring season, only a week break before the start of the Div 1 summer season.

I had no break before summer season to rest or even get an actual answer. All trainers kept saying," There doesn't seem to be any serious injury, your knee appears to just be pi**ed off." Okay then...

I was at a loss. WTF was wrong with my knee? The pain was unbearable, a secret that was being kept safe.

Summer season came, I drug around my dead leg in pure pain playing to the best of my ability. I can honestly say that was the first season of my entire life I went goalless.

I did what was needed to keep business moving past that I spent my summer icing every minute to make practice and games possible.

Yet with a final flare up in August I went to an ER. Followed by seeing an orthopedic, scheduled an MRI and PT with two ladies who I have come to love.

Honestly I have lived my entire life under Mamba Mentality and that MRI was just not fitting into my schedule, I am busy!

The PT, absolutely I dig it. Its literally like training. I am competing against myself to grow stronger, get better balance.

I have spent the last two months at Boston Sports Medicine with Bonnie and Margo making an actual turn around.

Last night was the strongest practice yet! I started the fall season off scoring goals and continuing crashing the back of net with the ball. I feel stronger than I have in the last year. My knee doesn't even flair up, I move, pivot, pass like all is good.

For whatever reason I finally made it to my MRI on Tuesday and went over the results this morning with Margo.

Even as good as I feel, strong as I have been striking the ball, news like that is never easy to hear... FOLLOW for the full test results
