Pretty extensive bathroom repaint just completed in Chapel Hills area. There were moisture and mildew issues, so we had to remove popcorn textured ceiling, clean and disinfect the ceiling, walls, and trim. Then we applied a coat of oil based primer, retextured the ceiling and skimmed over the cracking paint on the walls. We reprimed the patches, and then applied two coats of satin finish to bothe the ceiling and walls, and applied semi gloss to the baseboard, door jambs, and the door. Turned out very nicely!
