For July, the LGBTQIA+ book club read Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy Snyder.
This book was all over the place and so were our opinions! We had an in-depth discussion, all the way until our time was up. There were different thoughts of the format and style of the book, with some appreciating how the sections were divided, and others wanting a different flow. We also went back and forth on how likable the various characters were, and whether side characters should have gotten their own point of view. We even had differing opinions on the level of gore: some thought it was fine and others found it too much. But one thing the book wasn’t short on was topics to discuss! Regardless of the different opinions, everyone agreed the book was wild and weird - our group gave this one 3.5 stars.
