Tomorrow is our First Thursday free, all-ages event, ‘Art as Song, Song as Art’ at JUMP Boise! Event runs from 5:30-8:30pm on the 5th and 6th floors. Come out and experience the fusion of live music and visual art. There will be food, a public participation art project, artist demos, and Ukeleles for visitors to try! Hope to see you there!

I have a helper putting together a tool kit to set up the big exhibit at JUMP tomorrow. It’s First Wednesday which comes before First Thursday, which is tomorrow night! It’s here, it’s here! Art as Song, Song as Art” a collaboration between and . Inspiring each other to create new art and new songs. The big show in the Pioneer Room at JUMP: 16 songwriters performing. In the Jump Room on the 5th floor, Art Exhibit, artist demonstrators, Boise Ukulele Group demonstrating and even teaching how to play a Ukulele! Even the lobby is filled with art from the Boys and Girls Club annual children’s art show. We will be rocking art and music starts at 5:30; performances start at 6:30!

32 Cells Idaho Penitentiary: Uplift, 6 pm, August 12, Old Idaho Penitentiary.
I love this show. They give us artists the name of someone connected to the Old Pen’s history, we create art and they have an exhibit. This year my person was Suffragate and Temperance Leader, Annetta Chipp. She worked to get us women the vote! And she did lots of good things for the inmates. Probably a tough cookie.
