Celebration of Life update!
Here's the post with all information regarding Jason's Celebration of Life, this Saturday the 15th.
We are going to be getting the band shell/gazebo over by the greenbelt/river behind 7s teepad at Ann Morrison. Attached is a picture showing where it is. It is called the "old timers shelter". Please note the parking lot next to it is considered "permit only" I suggest parking along royal blvd and walking over.
We will start setting up around 11am/noon. There are bench tables at the shelter, and we will be getting some more tables and chairs courtesy of Joe Plehal with Tates. If you prefer to bring your own chair, you are more than welcome to!
We expect to be ready and have everyone start showing up around 2 or 3PM. If you would like to show up early and assist with setting up, that would be awesome!
The day will start off with some food, we plan to have a couple of BBQ's there (courtesy of Andrew W.) and I'll be getting some grill able foods for everyone to enjoy, we do ask, if anyone is able to bring side foods (salads, pastas, chips, ect.) Please do so. As well as any sodas or drinks you may want.
After the food, anyone who wishes to play a round of golf can, I will have some prizes for the winners, and a putting challenge near the shelter for those who don't want to play a full round with prizes for that too.
Once the round is over, we will have the opportunity to share stories, or speak about, and reminisce on our dear friend Jason. During this, we will also be doing a raffle, with tickets being sold all day, and all money raised will go towards expenses and the family. ZÜCA, Inc. is sending a package for the raffle, and I'll be throwing some things in as well. If you have anything you'd like to donate, bring it!
Hopefully, after all of that, we should be around dark/sun down, and we will do a nice candlelight vigil with a moment of silence to finish off the night.
We will be attempting to live stream most of this for those who cannot attend.
We hope you will join us on this day of celebration of the life and accomplishments of Jason Oxsen .
