đ¶ ALBUM OF THE WEEK đ¶
The Allman Brothers Band â At Fillmore East 1971
If you want to hear what a band sounds like when theyâre locked in and playing for keeps⊠this is the record.
Why this album matters
Recorded live at the legendary Fillmore East in March 1971, At Fillmore East didnât just capture a great performanceâit cemented the Allman Brothers as one of the best live bands ever. Itâs blues, rock, and jazz-like improvisation all happening in real time, with the kind of chemistry you canât fake.
Why this Album sounds so good
Real room energy â you hear the venue, the crowd, the air around the instruments
Big dynamicsâ soft moments to full-on impact without turning into mush
Incredible instrument separation â you can âseeâ where everyone is on the stage
Natural tone â guitars bite, cymbals shimmer, and nothing feels harsh when the system is right
Bass + kick drum feel alive â tight, punchy, and easy to follow even during long jams
Some Recommended tracks to play and listen for this,
Statesboro Bluesâ immediate bite, drive, and stage width
Done Somebody Wrong â midrange realism and that live snap
Stormy Monday â smooth top end and space around the vocals/instruments
Whipping Post â dynamics, layering, and how well your system holds it together when it gets intense
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed â imaging and separation during the instrumental sections
Quick system tip:
If you want this album to really shine, good speaker placement + clean midrange is everything. When itâs dialed, the soundstage opens up and the band feels in the room.
Question for you:

Holiday get-together at K1 Racing was an absolute blast â thank you to our crew and families for coming out and making it such a fun night. Great laughs, great competition, and a lot of good memories made.
And yes⊠the two older guys had to remind everyone that experience still prevails over talk and flash đ. Craig had another commitment and couldnât stay for the whole race â otherwise it wouldâve been a clean 1-2-3 sweep for the âseasonedâ crew.
Most importantly, weâre grateful for each of you. Weâve got an awesome group of employees, and itâs nights like this that remind us how lucky we are to work alongside you. Thanks again for the memories â now letâs just hope our installers actually show up on Monday! đ
