It’s going to be another hot one out there today (and for the next week or so!). Be sure you’re drinking enough water! Hydration is always important, but especially during a heat wave like the one we’re experiencing here in the Treasure Valley. A good rule of thumb is to aim to drink half of your body weight in ounces of water a day (much more than the common idea that 8 glasses a day enough). So, for someone who weighs 200 lbs, they should take in about 100 oz of water a day. On top of that, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends adding 12 oz of water to your daily intake for every 30 minutes of exercise and/or physical activity. Play hard out there, Timberliners, but stay safe and hydrated. _____________________________________________
