Thank You to Our Linemen and Their Protectors
I don’t post often, but I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the linemen who have been working 16+ hour days, away from their loved ones, and literally putting their lives on the line to restore power for those in need. These incredible individuals deserve our utmost gratitude and respect.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about the incidents in Houston where linemen were held at gunpoint, given fentanyl-laced water, and threatened with pipes and other weapons. Such acts of violence and malice are incomprehensible. It’s essential to remember that these workers are everyday people, just like you and me. They are extraordinary individuals who are dedicated to ensuring that you experience as little inconvenience as possible during these challenging times.

The frustration of being without power is understandable, but these linemen come from all over the state and beyond, enduring harsh weather, sleepless nights, hunger, and immense risk to their own lives to restore power for everyone. There are strict protocols in place to ensure their safety while working on power lines. For my son and all the other mothers and family members of these brave workers, I urge you to show GRACE and PATIENCE to those who are out there trying to help.

I also want to thank the officers who traveled from other states to protect these linemen, allowing them to continue their critical work.

Thank you once again to the linemen and the officers who protect them. Your dedication and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.
